Voith Turbo South Africa is looking to employ an Accountant at our Witfield, Boksburg office to assist in management and controlling of day-to-day transactional accounting systems, processes, and procedures in compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and statutory regulations, ensuring that all journal entries are checked, processed, and reconciled on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.

Ideal Qualifications and Experience
- National Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- 3-5 years experience in finance or equivalent role.
- Understanding of risk management, business, and accounting processes.
Skills and Competencies
- Intermediate MS Office (Word & Excel) & ERP experience i.e., Navision.
- Understanding of end-to-end financial accounting best practices and systems.
- Problem-Solving, Decision-making, Analytical, Attention to detail, Time Management.
Primary Duties
- Financial Record Keeping & Reporting: Maintain accurate financial records for transactions, expenses, and revenues. Prepare financial statements. Ensure financial data accuracy by reconciling accounts and verifying entries.
- Taxation & Compliance: Prepare and file tax returns (corporate, VAT). Stay updated on tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance. Assist in audits by providing necessary documentation and reports. Work with auditor and tax authorities during audits.
- Budgeting & Financial Planning Support: Assist in budget preparation and expense monitoring. Support management in forecasting and financial decision-making. Identify cost-saving opportunities and financial risks.
- Internal Controls & Risk Management: Implement financial controls to prevent fraud and errors. Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with policies. Ensure compliance with accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS). Work with auditors to maintain transparency in financial reporting.
