Job Summary

The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, preferably with a Technical Degree or Post Graduate Diploma in Diesel Mechanics. With up to 5 years of experience in a similar role, the individual should have a deep understanding of the transport, logistics, and agriculture industry.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Expenditure Control: Ensure expenditure remains within budget, maintaining open communication with the General Manager and Line Manager regarding expenditures. Implement corrective actions when costs exceed budget.
• Fleet Maintenance: Oversee all workshop operations, ensuring vehicles are inspected after servicing and repairs, quality standards are maintained, and breakdowns are addressed promptly.
• Fleet Disposal and Purchases: Verify accuracy of documents, manage the fleet maintenance program, and oversee vehicle maintenance costs to acceptable levels.
• SHEQ Management: Ensure a safe and healthy work environment, executing workshop systems efficiently.
• Technical Assistance: Investigate fuel consumption anomalies, manage Wearcheck samples, and handle warranty claims.

Key Requirements

• Technical Degree/Post Graduate Diploma in Diesel Mechanics (Trade Certificate essential)
• Up to 5 years of experience in a similar role
