Service Advisor – Commercial Vehicle Workshop (Trucks) | Pinetown

We are looking for an experienced Service Advisor to join a dynamic Commercial Vehicle Workshop in Pinetown!

Key Responsibilities:

1. Customer Interaction: Act as the primary point of contact for truck owners and fleet managers, providing expert advice on servicing and repairs.
2. Job Scheduling & Workshop Coordination: Manage service bookings, allocate work to technicians, and ensure repairs are completed on time.
3. Technical & Warranty Support: Explain technical issues to customers, liaise with the technical team, and process warranty claims efficiently.
4. Cost Estimation & Upselling: Provide accurate service estimates, discuss additional repair recommendations, and maximize workshop revenue.
5. Administration & Compliance: Maintain detailed records of service history, invoices, and ensure all work meets safety and manufacturer standards.

Requirements:

1. Experience: Minimum 2 years in a commercial vehicle / truck workshop as a Service Advisor.
2. Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of truck mechanics, diagnostics, and repair processes.
3. Customer Service Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and ability to handle high-pressure situations.
4. Administration & Computer Skills: Proficiency in DMS (Dealer Management Systems), invoicing, and service documentation.
5. Driver's License: A valid Code 8 or higher driver's license is essential.
