Service Advisor – Commercial Vehicle Workshop (Trucks) | Pinetown
Are you passionate about trucks and customer service?
We are looking for an experienced Service Advisor to join a dynamic Commercial Vehicle Workshop in Pinetown!
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Interaction: Act as the primary point of contact for truck owners and fleet managers, providing expert advice on servicing and repairs.
- Job Scheduling & Workshop Coordination: Manage service bookings, allocate work to technicians, and ensure repairs are completed on time.
- Technical & Warranty Support: Explain technical issues to customers, liaise with the technical team, and process warranty claims efficiently.
- Cost Estimation & Upselling: Provide accurate service estimates, discuss additional repair recommendations, and maximize workshop revenue.
- Administration & Compliance: Maintain detailed records of service history, invoices, and ensure all work meets safety and manufacturer standards.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in a commercial vehicle / truck workshop as a Service Advisor.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of truck mechanics, diagnostics, and repair processes.
- Customer Service Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and ability to handle high-pressure situations.
- Administration & Computer Skills: Proficiency in DMS (Dealer Management Systems), invoicing, and service documentation.
- Driver's License: A valid Code 8 or higher driver's license is essential.
