Senior SQL Developer

Join a fast-paced operational development team where your SQL expertise will power the heart of a dynamic call centre environment! As a SQL Developer, you'll work closely with the Head of IT to craft and maintain innovative solutions that drive performance and insight. You'll dive deep into SQL Server, using it to query, analyze, and transform data across custom-built systems and reporting tools making a real impact where it matters most.

Responsibilities:

1. Solid understanding of relational databases and database design;
2. Excellent knowledge of the T-SQL language including use of stored procedures, triggers, views, data types, keys indexes, constraints, foreign keys, relational design and the related tools and development environments;
3. A good understanding of SSRS, Excel and basic VBA programming;
4. Experience optimizing SQL Server queries and stored procedures;
5. A general interest in programming and development;
6. Knowledge of SQL environment using tracing tools;
7. A strong sense of responsibility and ownership and a solid work ethic;
8. Accurate and precise approach with a strong sense of attention to detail;
9. The ability to work independently and as part of a team;
10. A willingness to learn about the existing business and systems enabling participation in the improvement and further development of these systems;
11. Very good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt to communicating with senior technical team, management and non-technical call centre agents;
12. Very good problem-solving skills and an aptitude for applying critical reasoning and logic to solve challenging business problems;
13. Very logical with good understanding of basic mathematics and statistics;
14. Ability to work in a team, both within IT and the rest of the business;
15. Ability to work under pressure without compromising accuracy and work quality;
16. Organised and task driven with a need to complete tasks well;
17. Knowledge about C# / .NET will be an advantage;
18. Good understanding of AI, machine learning and data science will be an advantage.
