Senior Specialist Systems Analyst /Business Analyst (Adhoc)

We are recruiting for a Senior Specialist Systems Analyst to work on a project on a part-time basis as and when required.

Skills Required

• Experienced in running Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions for requirement gathering, a methodology that involves the client and/or end user in the design and development of a software application through a succession of collaborative workshops called JAD sessions.
• Ability to conduct user requirements gathering sessions with different line function managers and translate the requirements into functional specifications.
• Familiarity with functional design documents and how they translate to system functionality.
• Qualification and experience in application development frameworks and methodologies.
• Good documentation skills and ability to complete the following documentation: functional design, detailed design, database design, technical architecture design, test scripts, testing procedures, and user training manuals.
• Experience in drawing business processes using tools such as Microsoft Visio.
• Ability to engage in formal and informal knowledge transfer.
• Ability to lead a team and manage project delivery.
• Application development/programming experience on a Microsoft platform.
• Ability to communicate clearly – verbally and in written form.
• Deep skills and experience in designing and implementing IT solutions.
• Business systems analysis and/or design.
• Application of system development methodologies.
• User requirement gathering sessions and development of appropriate design documents (e.g. functional, detailed, and/or database design).
• Experience in business analysis, business process management, and/or business process engineering.
• Proven experience of facilitation.
• Familiarity with SDLC and system development methodologies such as waterfall, Rational Unified Process (RUP), agile, scrum, and understanding of DevOps CI/CD processes and tools.
• Business analytic skills and capability to assist with project requirements planning, process, and business requirements specification documentation.
• Strong business process modeling (BPMN) and management skills.
• Skills to enable technology of core capabilities and value streams.
• Skills to analyze operating and business models.
• Strong interpersonal skills, communication, and documentation skills.

Qualifications

• Business Analysis Certification
• TOGAF certification
• Bachelor's degree/Diploma or Advanced qualifications in Information Technology/Computer Science
• JAD Session Facilitation qualification
• Design tools (e.g. Visio)
