Job Description
Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Installation, configuration, maintenance and lifecycle management of communication services (endpoint hardware, software, services and SaaS tools)
- Integrate communication technologies with adjacent technologies (identity, security, vulnerability management, IT service and asset management, remote access, backup, directory services, etc).
- Ensure stability and security of communication technology through effective endpoint management and timely patching.
- Evaluate and improve operational processes, standards and performance of services globally and ensure documentation is complete and up to date.
- Identify emerging trends and leverage industry best practices to establish best in class service delivery by driving automation, user self-service and agility first.
- Assist in the deployment, development and/or rationalisation of tools and processes that will assist in performance measurement, reporting and visibility of issues.
- Monitor and track customer satisfaction levels and service stability to maximise effectiveness.
- Forecast financial, physical, and human resource needs to meet established objectives.
- Oversee and coordinate restoration and disaster recovery plans that remediate service outages.
- Manage all licensing exposure within the service scope and ensure compliance.
- Provide specialist support for related services to peers with respect to services scope.
- Support cross-functional team interactions with internal and external stakeholders to execute relevant activities within stipulated timeframes.
- Act as the escalation point for and own problem resolutions related to core services.
- Manage costs related to the service scope transparently and effectively, including investment choices and budgeting to ensure equipment remains operational and within maintenance support.
- Manage the performance of the vendors, ensure they are meeting or exceeding their contractual commitments for services and projects.
- Own a service delivery review with the vendors measuring defined quality and quantity indicators.
- Liaise with solutions design and architecture to make sure that roadmaps are followed and services are introduced to support with excellence.
- Support internal and external audit processes, coordinating the provision of documentation and actions required to address any audit findings.
- Ensure services, solutions and systems are secure and adhere to security policies.
Qualifications
- An undergraduate qualification (Bachelors degree/Diploma or equivalent) in relevant IM Discipline.
- It would be advantageous to have a postgraduate qualification in the related IM discipline OR a proven track record of extensive practical experience in a role and context of similar complexity.
- Registration with professional bodies (Desirable).
Experience
- 5-7 years working experience in similar role.
Technical knowledge (experience) required for role:
- Proven delivery of ITIL framework and establishing a service desk environment.
- Delivery of a tooling landscape for IT services.
- Strong understanding of video conferencing platforms (such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, WebEx), phone systems, audio/video hardware, and network protocols.
Technical skills
- Configuration management, identity and access management, active directory, collaboration platforms and other cloud-based services (Advanced).
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical issues related to voice and video communication (Advanced).
- Performance Management & Reporting (Proficient).
- Stakeholder Engagement and Communication (Proficient).
- Thought Leadership and Continuous Improvement (Proficient).
- Process Improvement (Proficient).
