Senior Security Control Room Manager

24 / 7 Security Services has a vacancy for a Senior Control Room Manager with extensive experience within the security industry. The Senior Control Room Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of management within the Control Room. This person will be responsible for identifying, assessing and mitigating risks to ensure the safety and security of the Control Room operations. The person will be based at the Head Office at 8 Philo Road, Wynberg, Sandton.

The following criteria will be our basis for selection; your application will not be considered if you do not meet all the requirements:

1. Valid Grade A PSIRA qualification
2. Matric or tertiary qualification
3. 5-8 years of Control Room Security management experience preferably in the security sector
4. 3-5 years of Remote Site Monitoring management experience
5. 3-5 years of internal and external investigation experience
6. 2 years' experience in IP networks
7. 2 years of SQL and database integration experience
8. Advanced CCTV / Listener management preferably in a control room or similar environment
9. Advanced listener integration experience
10. Advanced systems knowledge of Dahua, Hikvision, and Vumacam
11. Computer literate (i.e. advanced knowledge in Excel, MS Word, MS Excel and Outlook)
12. Disciplined, focused, and strong work ethics
13. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
14. Strong client liaison and customer relations skills (essential)
15. Excellent and effective communication skills (verbal and written)
16. Strong interpersonal abilities
17. Able to work independently and take initiative
18. Able and willing to work under pressure and long hours
19. Knowledge of relevant regulations and industry best practices related to risk management
20. Good reporting skills
21. Valid driving license and own transport

Key Responsibilities:

1. Management of all control room and satellite control operations
2. Loading of new client details in the monitoring system
3. Changing and deleting of radio transmitters
4. Editing client profiles
5. Testing of alarm signals with technicians and clients
6. Ensure effective response to client emergencies
7. Compiling and printing operational reports and incident reports
8. Management of specialized equipment, software and Firearm Control Act compliance including all backup of control room equipment
9. Management of Listener database accuracy (including account details, customer, key holder details, radio codes and all relevant emergency contact and action details)
10. Report problems and serious matters to operational business unit Managers
11. Record technical alarm bookings and call outs on Listener software
12. Provide access to monitoring systems
13. Recruitment and management of control room operators
14. Conduct disciplinary hearings
