Job description

Join a global leader specializing in security inks, integrated security solutions, and authentication technologies as a Senior Sales Executive for Security Inks & Brand Protection in Gauteng. In this key role, you will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies for security inks used in valuable documents (such as passports, IDs, certificates, and bonds), as well as brand protection security labels. The position requires extensive travel within South Africa and to neighbouring countries.

The ideal candidate will leverage their industry expertise to expand the company's footprint in the security document and brand protection sectors. This is a permanent, full-time position.

Requirements:

  1. A Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field or a Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Sales and Marketing would be advantageous.
  2. Certifications in sales, marketing, or security printing (such as Certified Sales Professional or similar).
  3. At least 5 years of experience in sales within the security document or related industries (security inks, security paper, security printing).
  4. Strong understanding of the security document market, including private and state security printers.
  5. Proven track record of successful sales, with experience in selling technical products to decision-makers in the printing and security industries.
  6. Fluency in English; proficiency in additional languages (e.g., Portuguese or French) would be beneficial given regional travel requirements.
  7. Ability and willingness to travel extensively both within South Africa and to neighbouring countries.
  8. Valid ID & Passport, Valid License and own vehicle, Clear criminal Record.

The applicant must provide consent for criminal background checks and undergo company-specific verification processes as part of the recruitment process.

Duties:

  1. Drive sales of security inks and labels for value documents, building relationships with private and state security printers.
  2. Use industry expertise to identify potential clients within the security document market, including security printers (private and state).
  3. Regular travel throughout South Africa and to neighbouring countries (Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Namibia, Lesotho, Eswatini) to meet clients, deliver presentations, and secure contracts.
  4. Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in the security printing and related industries.
  5. Negotiate contracts and close sales, ensuring that SICPA's value proposition is communicated effectively to clients.
  6. Monitor and assess industry trends, competitor activities, and market demands to align sales strategies.
  7. Provide regular updates to management on sales performance, market insights, and customer feedback.
  8. Perform other duties as required by the business, even if not specifically listed in the job description.
