About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Ruby on Rails Engineer to design, build, and scale a high-impact platform. This is an opportunity to work on a meaningful product, contribute to key technical decisions, and help shape the future of our engineering team.

What You'll Do

1. Architect & Develop
2. Build and maintain scalable, high-performance applications using Ruby on Rails.
3. Develop new features that enhance user experience and improve efficiency.
4. Code Quality & Leadership
5. Write clean, maintainable code that is easy to test and scale.
6. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers.
7. Collaboration
8. Work closely with product managers, designers, and QA engineers to deliver high-quality features.
9. Take ownership of projects from ideation to deployment.
10. Performance & Scalability
11. Monitor and optimize application performance.
12. Troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly to ensure a seamless user experience.
13. Continuous Learning & Innovation
14. Stay up to date with the latest in Ruby on Rails, DevOps, and cloud infrastructure.
15. Contribute new ideas to improve the platform and maintain a competitive edge.

What We're Looking For

1. 5+ years of experience in Ruby on Rails development.
2. Proficiency in JavaScript and modern front-end frameworks (React is a plus).
3. Strong understanding of SQL, relational databases, and performance optimization.
4. Experience with AWS, Docker, and cloud infrastructure.
5. Prior experience in healthcare technology or working with integrations like TPP SystmOne is a plus.
6. Passion for building meaningful products that have a real-world impact.

Bonus Skills

1. Experience taking a product from zero to one-owning key features from ideation to launch.
2. Interest in growing into a Team Lead role and shaping engineering culture.
3. Startup or agile development experience.
4. Familiarity with ElasticSearch/OpenSearch.
