Requirements:
- Legal eligibility to work in South Africa.
- Valid driver's license.
- Proven ability to handle multiple, complex projects concurrently.
- Deep knowledge of the Solar PV sector.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Software Requirements:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word), Microsoft Project.
Soft Skills:
- Readiness to take on additional responsibilities.
- High levels of enthusiasm, energy, and self-motivation.
- Strong communication, approachability, and intercultural sensitivity.
- Fluency in English and Afrikaans.
Travel:
- Expect to travel for 20-30% of your working time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Coordination:
- Craft detailed project plans outlining scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to set project requirements.
- Develop and manage project schedules, and allocate resources effectively.
- Anticipate and mitigate risks.
- Project Execution and Monitoring:
- Direct project operations to align with the established schedule.
- Coordinate with teams and stakeholders for seamless project delivery.
- Track project milestones, offering regular updates to all parties involved.
- Apply best practices in project management.
- Budget and Cost Control:
- Establish project budgets, estimate costs, and plan procurement.
- Oversee financial aspects, ensuring compliance with budget limits.
- Manage financial documentation including invoices and change orders.
- Quality Assurance and Compliance:
- Uphold quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Implement quality checks and ensure compliance with industry norms and safety protocols.
- Team Leadership and Collaboration:
- Lead, motivate, and guide project teams.
- Promote a collaborative atmosphere, enhancing team communication.
- Assign tasks, offer support, and evaluate team performance.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, contractors, and suppliers.
- Manage stakeholder expectations, handle disputes, and negotiate solutions.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Keep meticulous records of project activities and outcomes.
- Generate and present status reports, contributing to process improvements.
