Senior Project Developer

In this role, you will be accountable for the management, control, recording and reporting of all raw material, WIP, finished goods and information movement from the point of entry into the Mill through the internal value chain and handing over to the onsite 3PL or external contract manufacture.

The Mill Logistics Team is the primary mill interface with the KCSA Supply Chain Team and outsourced logistics service provider. The team is accountable for supporting the Operations Team with all relevant production data. As an FMT member, the Mill Logistics Manager will be required to support the delivery of mill KPI's in the areas of Safety, Quality, Customer Service, Compliance and Cost of Manufacture.

Main Responsibilities

1. Manages the logistics and engineering stores functions at the Enstra facility, ensuring material and parts available as per requirement and production recorded and shipped as per requirements.
2. Provides sound advice and counsel to plant leadership on all supply chain matters to assist in minimizing working capital whilst delivering customer service requirements.
3. Creates an environment of continuous improvement through empowerment, education and training within the team.
4. Develops a sense of belonging by creating a workplace that encourages high involvement and maximizes the capabilities of team and individuals.
5. Focuses on identifying potential leaders through adherence to KC ethical values, standards and behaviours.
6. Develops, implements and optimizes new techniques and approaches in data gathering and analysis.
7. Initiates and participates in strategic discussions and initiatives as part of the FMT.
8. Manage raw material and WIP sent from the mill to external contract manufactures ensuring on-time in full deliveries liaising with planning and supply chain.
9. Interacts closely with all functional areas, including Production, Quality, EHS, Finance, Planning, Procurement, Distribution and Engineering.
10. Logistics compliance to EHS / Quality / LSW / 5S standards and audits.
11. Ensures CFI and internal control standards are adhered to, clean audits with no major findings and any deviations promptly addressed.
12. Ensures compliance with the expenditure budget for logistics.
13. Develops and implements best practice management based on Lean Practices in areas of responsibility.
14. Effectively liaises with the third-party operators of our finished goods / materials storage and handling facilities, retaining responsibility for all movements from supplier to the mill and movements between Enstra Mill and the 3rd Party.
15. Manages inventory levels at Enstra Mill, ensuring the correct stock levels are maintained to ensure a % service to operations.

To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:

1. Minimum M equivalent degree, preferably in a logistics / supply chain discipline preferably including SAPICS accredited.
2. Minimum 10 years in preferably an FMCG manufacturing / logistics / distribution / inventory management environment with 5 years at a team or functional leadership level.
3. Good working knowledge of a modern ERP systems, preferably SAP R3.
4. Microsoft package user ability.
5. Sound knowledge of all elements of MRP, including BOM, production recording processes and cost management / budget control.
6. Psychometric test based leadership (team / technical) qualities in line with One KC behaviours.
7. Ability to work collaboratively with multi-dimensional and functional teams within the facility and across the business.
8. Technically competent in all aspects of manufacturing-oriented supply chain logistics.
9. Extensive business process information knowledge in a manufacturing environment would be an advantage.
