Senior Mechanical Engineer (R&D)

Leading R&D firm requires a mechanical engineer.

Design mechanical machines and components.

Responsibilities:

1. This role is in the mechanical R&D, manufacturing, and industrial sectors.
2. Execute all job tasks in a cutting-edge mechanical design environment.
3. Mechanical design of machines and components (may be electronically controlled).
4. Mechanical design of industrial processing machines and components (e.g., a smelter or a Water Filtration Machine).
5. Draft sophisticated CNC diagrams in CAD software.
6. Create simple and complex geometric designs in multiple dimensions.
7. Ability to use 3D Simulation Software.
8. Perform design calculations from first principles, including FEA calculations.
9. Conduct component wear and tear, maintenance, and failure analysis.
10. Provide technical guidance on appropriate component materials.
11. Drive product innovation and technical innovation with unique design solutions.
12. Manage development projects from concept phase through to production and implementation in the field.
13. Document project processes, including Development Process Plans, Engineering Reports, Engineering Change Procedures, and Engineering Drawings.

Background Work Experience:

1. 3+ years experience in mechanical design and development (Preference 5+ years).
2. Extensive exposure to mechanical component design for industrial machinery and processes.
3. Experience utilizing CAD Software such as Pro Engineer or equivalent.
4. BSc / BTech in Mechanical Engineering preferred (N Dips with extensive practical experience can apply).
5. 3+ years' experience working in an organization that designs, develops, manufactures, and supports mechanical products.
6. ECSA Professional Registration strongly advantageous.
7. Project Management Experience is an advantage.

Salary: RK to RK per annum negotiable, dependent on experience.
