Description of the role and purpose of the job:

The purpose of this role is to build and cultivate strong business relationships and demonstrate technical and operational leadership to deliver quality audits and client-centric solutions. Manage the preparation, delivery, reporting and evaluation for larger and higher risk projects and engagements. Advocate innovation both within the firm and with clients and take a leading role in developing team members to their full potential and promoting collaboration among larger teams. Provides advanced technical knowledge, direction and training to others and participates in team practice decisions such as resource allocation.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Audit engagement manager's role is to:

1. Lead/manage multiple projects through the management of a team of professionals and possibly with the contribution of cross-divisional specialists.
2. Effectively manage commercial and contractual aspects of an engagement to achieve expected levels of quality and profitability.
3. Be involved in/take the lead in negotiations.
4. Execute projects to a level that meets member firm's quality standards within a commercial context.
5. Manage scope and deliver timely and quality deliverables.
6. Communicate risks and issues early to leaders as appropriate.
7. Input into the creation of innovative and repeatable solutions which strengthen business performance and differentiate KPMG from our competition.
