Senior Java Technical Consultant – Sandton / Hybrid - R1.6m PA

POSITION INFO :

Looking to work for one of the leading Banks that offers their client leading services and growth currently in search for a Senior Java Technical Consultant to join this fast-paced environment.

You will be in charge of creating a competitive advantage by consulting and providing advice on systems, processes, frameworks and products in line with the company strategy.

Requirements :

1. Relevant technical qualification / certification or equivalent experience
2. BSc or BComm preferably in Comp Sci or Information Systems, 4-year EDP Diploma
3. Advanced Diplomas / National 1st Degrees
4. 10+ years’ experience as a software developer within the Java specific space
5. 5+ years’ experience as Multi Discipline Specialist
6. Conversions, Large System implementation, Critical (no down time) systems. Large Projects, Working under pressure, Negotiation skills.
7. Analysis and Design, Test Strategy, Migrations between systems, Testing Tools (development and Usage), Debugging and problem analysis
8. Agile and Devops exposure
9. Project Management and Technical Team leadership
10. Technical Thought Leadership: The ability to provide innovative ideas and guide others in the organisation
11. Problem Solving: The ability to identify, analyze, and solve complex problems, Pro-Active
12. Communication: Effective communication skills are essential for understanding client needs and conveying technical information to non-technical stakeholders
13. Able to handle Stress, Strategic Thinking, Listening Skills, Patience, Multi-tasking, Self-Teacher, Adaptable and versatile

Reference Number for this position is GZ59130 which is a permanent position based in Sandton offering a cost to company salary of R1.6m Per annum negotiable on experience and ability.
