Senior IT Technician

We are seeking a skilled IT Support Technician to join our team in Middelburg. The role involves providing hardware and software support, troubleshooting network and server issues, and ensuring the smooth running of client IT systems. Key Responsibilities:

1. Hardware & Software Support: Install, update, and troubleshoot client devices and applications.
2. Client Server Assistance: Monitor server performance, backups, and security.
3. Network Support: Troubleshoot network issues and ensure device functionality.
4. Call Logging & WhatsApp Support: Track support requests and manage client queries via WhatsApp and other channels.
5. Backup & Monitoring: Ensure backup systems are functional and data can be restored.
6. Access Control: Support and maintain access control systems (e.g., Jarrison, Impro).
7. Anti-Virus & Patch Management: Manage antivirus solutions and ensure timely Windows updates.
8. VOIP Support: Set up and troubleshoot VOIP systems.
9. Standby Services: Provide on-call support for IT emergencies.

Requirements:

1. Experience in IT support, including hardware, software, and network troubleshooting.
2. Familiarity with server, backup, and access control systems.
3. Knowledge of antivirus software, Windows patching, and VOIP systems.
4. Excellent communication skills and the ability to assist clients remotely and onsite.
5. IT qualification (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+) is a plus.
6. Availability for standby services and after-hours support.
