As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in architecting, securing, and optimising cloud infrastructure solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You’ll design and implement high-performance, resilient networking solutions, leveraging AI-driven automation, SecOps best practices, and cloud-native security frameworks.

You'll work cross-functionally with cloud, security, networking, and AI teams to build scalable, cost-efficient, and AI-enhanced cloud ecosystems. If you're excited about shaping the future of smart, AI-powered infrastructure, this role is for you!

Design & maintain resilient, high-performance cloud infrastructure on GCP.

Architect & optimise secure cloud networking (VPC, firewalls, hybrid connectivity, service mesh).

Implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform & Deployment Manager.

Leverage AI-driven automation for infrastructure scaling, security, and cost optimisation.

Ensure compliance with ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST, and cloud security best practices.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance cloud security, IAM, and SecOps strategies.

Optimise Kubernetes (GKE) & containerised workloads for scalability & security.

Drive network reliability, performance, and cost efficiency across cloud environments.

Matric (High School Certificate).

Relevant tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Cloud Engineering, Networking, or Cybersecurity.

5-8 years of experience in cloud infrastructure, networking, security operations (SecOps), or platform engineering.

Deep expertise in cloud networking, including VPC design, firewall management, hybrid connectivity (Cloud VPN, Interconnect), and service mesh architectures.

Strong Linux/Unix administration, scripting (Python, Bash), and cloud automation skills.

Extensive hands-on experience with Google Cloud (Compute Engine, Kubernetes, Cloud Networking, IAM, Security Command Center, Chronicle).

Experience implementing IaC & security automation frameworks.

Knowledge of cloud-native security best practices and compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST).

Proven ability to drive cost-efficient, AI-enhanced cloud infrastructure scaling while maintaining network reliability and security.

Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Advantageous: Google Cloud Professional Architect Certification.
