Senior Hr Consultant

Summary : We are seeking a Senior HR Generalist who has worked in an HR agency / consulting environment handling multiple client accounts simultaneously.

This role will manage and oversee the Human Resources portfolio for various clients serviced by the consultancy.

With the assistance of a small HR team, this role is responsible for managing end-to-end client delivery and providing strategic advisory (focus areas are HR, Talent Management, Industrial and Organisational Psychology).

This role requires a professional who can lead HR initiatives, ensure compliance, and enhance workforce effectiveness while developing the HR portfolio within various businesses.

Location : Cape Town

Schedule : Monday - Friday

Work Set-up : Remote (ad-hoc visits to clients around Cape Town)

Responsibilities :

1. Manage and oversee all HR portfolios (employee life cycle elements) within various client businesses:
1. Statutory Compliance (UIF, COIDA, EE, SDL etc)
2. Employee related paperwork (contracts, policies, letters, memos etc)
3. Remuneration & Payroll
4. Onboarding & Induction
5. Probation & Performance Management
6. Training & Development
7. Disciplinary Management / IR
8. Talent Management & Retention
9. Offboarding
10. Drive Organizational Development elements focusing on:
1. Organisational Design
2. Vision, Values & Culture
3. Job Analysis
4. Employee Wellness and Engagement
5. HR Analytics
6. Group Dynamics
2. Provide strategic HR advisory services to clients on all people-related initiatives.
3. Serve as the primary contact for selected clients and maintain strong relationships.
4. Provide sector-specific HR insights and best practices to the internal team and clients.
5. Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking sessions.

Requirements :

1. Minimum of Honors Degree in Human Resources, Industrial / Organisational Psychology, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Senior HR Consultant, Senior HR Lead or similar role.
3. Minimum of 3 years experience in an HR agency / consulting environment handling multiple client accounts simultaneously.
4. Strong industry expertise across sectors such as Petrochemical, Construction, Retail, Finance, Hospitality, and Agriculture.
5. Expert proficiency in HR and productivity software (Google Suite, Microsoft Suite, Asana, ClickUp, Toggl, Payspace, Simple Pay, Workable, Canva).
6. Based in Cape Town (Non-negotiable)
7. Valid driver's license and own vehicle required for client visits in Cape Town.
8. Ability to speak English & Afrikaans very comfortably.
9. Psychometric Assessment experience is advantageous.
