The Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Fullstack Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, with a focus on using modern technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead the design and development of complex software systems (client-side and server-side) from conception to deployment
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions
  3. Build the front-end of applications through appealing visual design
  4. Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications
  5. Develop and design effective APIs
  6. Mentor and guide other engineers
  7. Stay current on industry trends and technologies to continually improve the team's technical capabilities
  8. Ensure that all software development is done to a high standard, and that it is fully tested and deployed in a secure and reliable manner
  9. Research and recommend ways to implement emerging payment innovations, including Open Banking, buy now pay later, and alternative digital payment methods
  10. Stay current on payment legislation changes globally.

Knowledge, skills and experience required

  1. Strong technical experience leading the design and development of complex software systems
  2. Knowledge of multiple front-end and back-end languages (Node.js, React, Next.js, Typescript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS) and their libraries
  3. Familiarity with RESTful APIs and GraphQL
  4. Familiarity with database technologies such as PostgreSQL, Redis, and MongoDB
  5. Knowledge of payments processing and the wider payments industry
  6. Experience integrating with Payment Service Providers (PSPs) such as Stripe, Braintree, Adyen, or WorldPay.
  7. Understanding of mobile payments and implementation of ApplePay and/or GooglePay.
  8. Experience with event-driven architectures
  9. Proficiency with Git, Confluence, Jira
  10. Basic understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, and Deployments to the cloud
