Senior English Teacher Position

Position: Senior English Teacher
Location: Holy Cross High (Maitland)
Start Date: 1 January 2025

Key Responsibilities:

1. Teaching English Home Language (FET Phase): Plan, teach, and assess the English Home Language curriculum for Grades 10–12.
2. Leadership in the English Department: Manage the English Subject Team, ensuring high standards of teaching through rigorous moderation, accurate reporting, and effective organization.
3. Collaboration & Liaison: Work closely with the Subject Advisor and local network of English educators to stay updated on best practices, curriculum changes, and professional development opportunities.
4. Department Administration: Oversee the smooth running of the department, including record-keeping, reporting, and ensuring that all administrative requirements are met.
5. Drive Creativity & Growth: Stimulate student engagement and creativity, extra Mural Activities, ensuring a dynamic, willing and stimulating learning environment for all learners.
