Senior Electrician - Cape Town

Our client is looking for a Senior Electrician to join their team in Cape Town, WC. The ideal candidate will be a trade-tested professional with a Wireman’s License and be registered with the relevant Electrical Board, capable of signing off Certificates of Compliance (COCs) independently. This is a senior-level role suited for someone who can work unsupervised while collaborating with apprentices and other team members when required.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs in household, commercial, and industrial environments.
2. Work with both single-phase and three-phase electrical systems.
3. Issue Certificates of Compliance (COCs) for completed work.
4. Lead and mentor apprentices or junior team members when necessary.
5. Maintain compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
6. Collaborate with clients and team members to ensure efficient project delivery.

Requirements:

1. Trade-Tested Electrician (Red Seal).
2. Wireman’s License.
3. Registered with the Western Cape Electrical Board.
4. Proven ability to issue COCs independently.
5. Minimum 5 years of relevant post-qualification experience.
6. Ability to work independently and take initiative.
7. Experience with solar installations would be advantageous.
