Senior Electrical Engineer
Location: Can sit anywhere within the Western Region of the US (15-20% travel required)

Employment: Direct Hire/Long Term

Our client has been an industrial engineering leader for more than 50 years, and they are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design and engineering for heavy industrial projects. This role offers the opportunity to work with a dynamic, multidisciplinary team and contribute to projects in industries such as petroleum, chemical and power generation. Key Responsibilities

Lead electrical design, including medium/low voltage calculations and detailed drawing packages.
Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., NFPA, IEEE, API).
Collaborate with clients, utilities, and internal teams to deliver integrated project solutions.
Support construction with contractor reviews, vendor coordination, and on-site investigations.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to process improvements.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited).
Experience: 10+ years in industrial sectors (oil & gas, refining, power, manufacturing, etc.).
Certifications: Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in power system modeling (SKM, ETAP) and electrical design software.
Controls engineering experience. PLC design, I&C portion of P&ID development, I/O list development.
Strong communication and project management skills.
Must be willing to travel
