Job Description
AESG are seeking a passionate and driven Senior Electrical Engineer looking for an exciting new opportunity to work within AESG's award-winning Sustainable Engineering Department. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sustainability and a willingness to work across multiple disciplines and industries to drive the market towards more sustainable development.
The Senior Electrical Engineer will be responsible for leading and managing electrical engineering projects, with a focus on sustainability and digitalisation in design. The successful candidate will form part of AESG's dynamic Sustainable Engineering department located in our Dubai headquarters. The role will include independent project management of complex design and construction projects, covering all aspects of electrical engineering so confidence in client management with a clear vision of how to develop and manage an electrical engineering team is essential.

Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage electrical engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring that they meet sustainable and digitalisation requirements
- Act as key point of contact for clients as an MEP lead engineer with responsibility for technical and commercial delivery of projects
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
- Develop in-house systems and workflows with a strong focus on automated design via Dynamo, Python or similar
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure project requirements are met
- Utilise Revit software to create and manage electrical engineering models and drawings
- Stay current on industry trends and developments related to sustainable electrical engineering and digitalisation
- Strong knowledge and experience in Revit software
- Strong understanding of project commercial control, resource planning & project management
- Strong leadership and project management skills
- Strong understanding of sustainable engineering principles and practices
- Familiarity with UAE and regional building codes
Essential skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline with further post-graduate education desirable (e.g., Master's degree), along with demonstrated work experience within the field
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on sustainability and digitalisation
- Experience delivering LEED-certified or other building certification projects and have an excellent understanding of building systems performance
- Professional qualification and work experience with development, and/or implementation of Sustainability Rating Systems such as USGBC LEED, Mostadam, Passive House or equivalent
- Proven track record of successfully leading a sustainability program, policies and regulatory frameworks
- The candidate will be expected to work across numerous software platforms, including Revit, AMTECH, DIALUX and ETAP
