Senior Data Analyst (JHB)

Job Responsibilities

1. Implement and uphold data governance and security protocols;
2. Perform data extraction and transformation;
3. Create Qlik data models;
4. Generate information and insights from data sets and identify trends and patterns;
5. Identify and define BI process improvement opportunities;
6. Provide maintenance of the BI environment;
7. Provide technical expertise in data storage structures, data mining, and data cleaning;
8. Implement strategies that optimise statistical efficiency and quality;
9. Support initiatives for data integrity and normalisation;
10. Create complex queries on large datasets for manipulation;
11. Lead data analysis projects from start to finish, including scoping, planning, execution, and delivering results to stakeholders;
12. Develop complex reports in Qlik that summarises key findings and insights;
13. Responsible for documenting solutions;
14. Coach and mentor colleagues;
15. Provide training and support to management on how to interpret and utilise data reports and dashboards;
16. Engage with cross-functional teams to understand their data requirements;
17. Gather input from stakeholders to ensure the data solutions provided meet their needs;
18. Translate complex data analysis into actionable business insights that stakeholders can easily understand and act upon.

Minimum Requirements

1. Grade 12 or Equivalent (Essential);
2. BCom Information Technology (Essential);
3. Relevant BI Certificate (Essential);
4. Minimum of 6 years’ BI experience;
5. Qlikview / Qliksense experience (Essential);
6. Nprinting experience (Advantageous);
7. Aviation experience (Advantageous).
