We are looking for a dynamic, innovative, customer-centric individual to join the IT Team at Amaro Foods at our Central Office in Epping.

PURPOSE

The Senior Data Analyst drives organizational success by transforming complex data into actionable insights that guide strategic decisions, optimize operations, and support business growth. This role ensures informed decision-making by identifying trends, mitigating risks, and enabling cross-functional collaboration, helping the company maintain a competitive edge and achieve its objectives efficiently.

KEY PERFORMANCE OUTPUTS

1. Maintains the company’s effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering, and supporting strategic plans for implementing information technologies.
2. Directs technological research by studying group company goals, strategies, practices, and user projects.
3. Recommends information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements.
4. Compile and manage the IT approved budget within the Company.
5. Ensure operational alignment with business strategy.
6. Accomplishes financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective action.
7. Provide input and feedback from performance reviews and assist in improving staff's performance.
8. Preserves assets by implementing disaster recovery and back-up procedures.
9. Verifies application results by conducting system audits of technologies implemented.
10. Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
11. Ensure fair allocation of workload.
12. Monitor operational activities of staff.
13. Comply with the necessary Occupational Health and Safety requirements.

TECHNICAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

1. Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline qualification or equivalent experience.
2. Post Graduate qualification in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline advantageous.
3. Technical certifications in key infrastructure services and applications.
4. 5 years working in a similar role.
5. 5+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably in a senior or lead analyst role.
6. Extensive experience with SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
7. SYSPRO, Business Objects, and TransLution Development experience.
8. Strong proficiency in data visualization tools (Power BI).
9. Hands-on experience with statistical software (e.g., R, Python) for data modeling and statistical analysis.
10. Advanced Excel skills for data manipulation and reporting.
11. Familiarity with big data technologies.
12. Proven experience in data-driven decision-making and providing actionable insights.
13. Skilled in identifying trends, patterns, and correlations in large datasets.
14. Experience in conducting predictive analysis and forecasting.
15. Demonstrated experience in leading analytical projects, from scoping to delivery.
16. Experience in effectively communicating complex data insights to stakeholders, both technical and non-technical.
17. Strong presentation skills and experience in delivering findings to executive-level stakeholders.
