Job Description

Role Purpose

The role of the Senior Cyber Security Architect will be to lead our cybersecurity architecture and design as part of our secure-by-design strategy efforts.

As a key member of our cybersecurity team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing security solutions that protect our IT infrastructure from all forms of cyber threats.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design, build, and oversee the implementation of network and computer security for the organization.
2. Develop a comprehensive IT security architecture strategy that aligns with organizational goals and risk tolerance.
3. Lead security projects from conception to deployment, including technology selection and architectural design.
4. Evaluate and implement new security technologies, driving continuous enhancement of security practices.
5. Conduct system security and vulnerability analyses and risk assessments; identify integration issues and provide appropriate solutions.
6. Prepare and document standard operating procedures and protocols for security systems.
7. Collaborate with the IT department to forecast future network needs and security solutions to ensure adequate protection of data assets.
8. Serve as an expert advisor to senior management on a broad range of security issues affecting the organization's ability to protect its data and infrastructure.
9. Stay abreast of the latest cybersecurity technologies and regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance across all platforms.
10. Mentor and lead teams of security professionals and IT staff.

Job Requirements (Qualifications, Skills and Experience):

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
2. Minimum of 8 years experience in a cybersecurity role, with at least 5 years in a security architecture-focused position.
3. Strong foundation in and in-depth technical knowledge of security engineering, computer and network security, authentication, and security protocols.
4. Experience with cloud security, IoT, big data, machine learning, and artificial intelligence in relation to cybersecurity.
5. Proficient in using architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman, or SABSA.
6. Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CCSP are highly desirable.
7. Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and project management skills.
8. Ability to communicate complex security concepts and risks to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:

1. Experience in developing and implementing comprehensive security policies and procedures.
2. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
3. Deep understanding of regulatory compliance and cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST, ISO / IEC, GDPR, etc.
