Senior Communications & Marketing Manager – Cape Town

Own the big picture and the details—overseeing email marketing, corporate communication, website magic, marketing collateral and so much more. You will also have the opportunity to travel globally to visit our clients' various branches!

Education Requirements

  • Honour’s Degree in Marketing and Communications
  • Master’s Degree in Marketing and Communications is advantageous

Experience Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in a marketing/PR role

Responsibilities

  • Strategy Development and Execution: Design and implement comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with organisational goals to drive business growth
  • Team Leadership: Lead and inspire a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, creativity, and continuous learning. Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, ensuring alignment with marketing objectives and career development goals
  • Brand Management: Oversee brand development initiatives to maintain consistency across all marketing channels and enhance brand equity. Prepare and manage submissions for industry awards and nominations to solidify the company’s thought leadership position
  • Campaign Management: Plan, execute, and optimise multi-channel marketing campaigns aimed at generating leads and driving customer acquisition. Analyse campaign performance using metrics and ROI tracking tools, refining strategies to maximise impact
  • Digital Marketing: Create and oversee digital marketing strategies, including SEO, SEM, social media management, and email marketing campaigns. Stay ahead of emerging digital trends and technologies to integrate innovative tactics into marketing efforts
  • Content Strategy: Craft and implement a content marketing strategy to position the company as an industry leader. Develop engaging, audience-specific content that aligns with business objectives and branding standards
  • Public Relations: Cultivate relationships with media outlets, ensuring the successful distribution of press releases and PR materials. Secure speaking engagements for company representatives and draft/review responses for media interactions
  • Budget Management: Create and manage the marketing budget, allocating resources effectively to maximise returns. Track and report on the financial performance of marketing initiatives, ensuring cost-effectiveness
  • Analytics and Reporting: Utilise advanced analytics tools to measure marketing performance and gain actionable insights. Make data-driven decisions to refine marketing strategies and boost effectiveness
  • Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams, including business development and project delivery, to ensure alignment on marketing objectives. Manage and enhance the company intranet to improve internal communication and knowledge sharing
