Job description

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
A minimum qualification of bachelor's degree / NQF 7 in Industrial Psychology / Human Resources / Social Sciences or any other related qualification in the Human Resources environment.

Experience
A minimum of fifteen years experience in Human Resources environment with ten years in senior management and extensive knowledge of HRMIS applicable work experience in a similar environment. Expertise in sub-contracting; HR management; employee relations and performance management.

Strong knowledge of labour legislation and HR.

Experience in fostering organisational culture and employee relations.

Proven leadership and stakeholder management.

REPORTING LINE
The successful incumbent will report to the General Manager: Corporate Services, providing strategic direction to the Human Resources team, which entails the execution and implementation of the human resources management strategy and plan; policies; procedures and guidelines and HR systems.

MAIN OUTPUT AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. HR Strategy and Leadership: Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business goals.
  2. Sub-contracting HR Management: Oversee HR compliance and engagement for sub-contractors.
  3. Performance Management: Implement and enhance performance frameworks to drive productivity.
  4. Organisational Culture: Promote a positive, inclusive and high-performance work environment.
  5. Employee Relations: Ensure fair and effective conflict resolution and labour relations practices.
  6. Talent Management: Oversee recruitment, retention and succession planning.
  7. HR Compliance: Ensure adherence to labour laws and industry regulations.
  8. HR Administration: Manage contracts, payroll and policy administration.
  9. Advisory Role: Serve as a strategic HR advisor to Senior Management.
  10. BBBEE Strategy: Development and execution of all BBBEE transformation interventions to ensure compliance with legislative requirements and align to the business strategy.
  11. Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing insights on HR and business management trends and best practices.
  12. Budget Management: Develop and manage budgets for HR and business administration functions, ensuring financial sustainability and cost-effectiveness.
