We’re Hiring: Professional Senior Business Development Manager

About Us:

Mutual Safes South Africa is celebrating 41 years as the market leader in the physical security industry (manufacturing, logistics, installation, and service). We are looking for an experienced business development manager to join our team.

As a Senior Business Development Manager, you will play a critical role in scaling our business by identifying new opportunities, forging strategic partnerships, and leading client acquisition efforts.

You will be based in Gauteng and work between our Johannesburg and Pretoria offices. You must be willing to travel from time to time.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Identify and pursue new business opportunities and markets
  2. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners
  3. Create and execute growth strategies aligned with company goals
  4. Collaborate with marketing, product, and executive teams
  5. Negotiate deals and close high-value contracts
  6. Study market trends and stay ahead of the competition

  1. 5+ years in business development, sales, or strategic partnerships
  2. Effective communication and negotiation skills
  3. Proven ability to meet and exceed growth targets
  4. Initiative-taker with high energy and a growth mindset
  5. Experience in the physical security industry is critical

The ideal candidate will lead initiatives to generate and engage with business partners to build new business for the company. This candidate will strategically plan their approach to clients and offer compelling solutions to cater for client's needs. They are responsible for maintaining and developing relationships in order to meet sales goals.

Additional Responsibilities:

  1. Identify partnership opportunities
  2. Develop new relationships in an effort to grow business and aid expansion effort
  3. Maintain existing business
  4. Plan strategically to assure project success

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  2. 6+ years of industry-related business development experience
  3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  4. Strong knowledge of successful marketing strategies
  5. Focused and goal-oriented
