Purpose of the Role

As the Senior Business Analyst, you will lead end-to-end business analysis for client and internal change requests, new products, and client onboarding initiatives. Your first project will involve spearheading the approach and strategy document for a critical core system upgrade. This includes performing a comprehensive gap analysis between current and future functionality, defining detailed requirements, and guiding system implementation processes. Reporting directly to the Business Solutions Manager, you will collaborate with other business analysts to drive this project to successful completion and later transition into other business-critical initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Business Case Development: Create well-reasoned business cases that align with client and company objectives.
• Process and Data Mapping: Conduct thorough mapping exercises to ensure solutions align seamlessly with business needs.
• Gap Analysis: Perform detailed comparisons between existing and new systems, defining necessary upgrades or changes.
• Requirements Definition: Document functional, non-functional, and data requirements comprehensively to support system upgrades and new implementations.
• Testing and Quality Assurance: Participate actively in the testing phase, ensuring solutions meet all business and technical specifications.
• SDLC Participation: Engage fully in the Software Development Life Cycle, utilizing both Agile and hybrid methodologies to drive successful project outcomes.

Essential Experience

• Industry Knowledge: At least 8 years of experience in Unit Trust and Linked Investment Service Provider (LISP) administration, specifically with Discretionary and Life and Retirement products.
• Senior BA Expertise: 5+ years in a senior business analysis role, demonstrating excellence in business case creation, requirement analysis, and process definition.
• Project Management Skills: Proven experience in driving project outcomes, implementing improvements, and working seamlessly within a project team.
• Methodological Proficiency: Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies and the adaptability to apply each as appropriate.

Ideal Qualifications

• Education: A relevant tertiary qualification or progress toward one is preferred.
• Certification: Advanced Business Analysis certification is essential to meet the demands of this role.

• Microsoft Office: Proficiency in the full Microsoft Office suite, particularly Advanced Excel and Visio (or equivalent).
• System Knowledge: Familiarity with Flexcube and SQL is essential.
• Desirable Skills: Experience with workflow applications and Digiata is advantageous.
