Senior Bookkeeper

A vacancy exists for a Financial Accountant – Leases and Assets, based at the FSC in Dunkeld, reporting to a Senior Financial Accountant. The successful candidate will be responsible for Lease accounting and asset management.

Critical Outputs

• Ensure validity, accuracy and completeness of all leases and non-current assets accounts including preparation of reconciliations and GL analyses.
• Assisting with internal and external audit queries.
• Manage relationships between the team and stakeholders including assisting the Business with accounting related issues/queries.
• Management of staff/deliverables from other team members.
• Ensure compliance with corporate governance, procedures, and protocols.
• Assist in special projects as requested by management.
• Strive to continuously improve working methods to improve standardisation and efficiencies.
• Assistance with the preparation and review of relevant financial statement notes.
• Preparation of the leases database.
• Month end postings and variance analysis completed timeously.
• Manage lease agreements including ensuring leases are received from the business timeously and following up on expired/expiring leases.

Requirements

• A University Degree, B Com graduate is required. Completed articles is an advantage.
• Experience in accounting for PPE and leases is advantageous.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office is critical, Advanced Excel Skills is advantageous.
• SAP experience is essential.
• Basic understanding of IFRS 16.
