A: Job Overview
The Bid Architect plays a crucial role in the Clients and Markets Local Activation Hub (LAH) by providing comprehensive support for proposal development and execution. This role involves managing multi-territory and multi-service line proposal responses, guiding cross-functional teams, and driving opportunities from pre-RFP to submission. The Proposal Coach will also prepare teams for oral presentations and support strategic opportunities across the Consulting and Risk Services businesses.
B. JOB DESCRIPTION
- The Senior Bid Architect is crucial in the Clients and Markets Local Activation Hub, supporting proposal development and execution by managing proposal responses across multiple regions and service lines, and guiding cross-functional teams in executing the Winning Excellence approach.
- The efforts will be focused on guiding the teams through the facilitation of strategic workshops to deliver high impact, brand-defining propositions and visual assets to our clients.
- As part of the Local Activation Hub (LAH) team, the individual will lead opportunities from pre-RFP to submission and prepare teams for presentations.
- They will support strategic opportunities in Consulting and Risk Services by writing proposals, managing the proposal development process, and submitting responses.
- The secondary role of the individual will be to develop and execute strategic business development campaigns and initiatives working with the Consulting and Risk Services teams.
JOB PROFILE | Bid/Proposal Architect:
- Effectively lead multi-territory and multi-disciplinary teams on live proposals from the management of the proposal development process through to submission.
- Architect the proposal response including storyboarding, value proposition development, writing, editing, creative elevation of response, packaging and submission.
- Think strategically about the opportunity and the client to ensure dynamic win themes are developed and presented throughout the document.
- Organize and collaborate with individuals at all levels of seniority.
- Coordinate resources (writers, designers, document production, technical subject matter specialists, etc.) to drive the efficient development of proposals and business development initiatives.
- Effectively execute on campaign initiatives required for business development.
- Contribute to the upskilling and development of proposal coordinators within the team.
- Share leading practices with LAH team.
- Contribute to leadership dashboards and management reports, as well as other ad hoc requests for presentations.
- Enhance proposal management best practice training material.
- Facilitate leading practice Proposal Management and Development training.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Undergraduate Degree (e.g., BA, B.Com).
- APMP Certification preferable.
- Knowledge on MS Office and Google Suite is an added advantage.
EXPERIENCE
- 10+ years of Professional Services experience, preferably in Consulting.
- 5+ years of architecting proposal responses as well as proposal writing experience.
KEY KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
- Have a sound understanding of branding and how to best articulate and execute messages of the organization in an engaging, emotive and exciting way.
- Have good listening and communications skills, both written and oral.
- Work hand in hand with stakeholders to synergize corporate messaging.
- Be proficient in multiple forms of communications technologies and approaches.
- Be adaptable, proactive, deadline-driven and detail-oriented.
