JOB DESCRIPTION

AIM
To oversee and co-ordinate protection operations of the Clifton CID in which deployed, monitor all systems and equipment in the control room and facilitate irregularities and defects to relevant people.

Liaise with Clifton CID control room with regards to civil authorities in case of emergencies, and as well as provide supervision of Public Safety officers deployed in and around the Clifton CID area of control.

Uphold the client's values and principles at all times.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. To be responsible and reliable towards the client at all times.
2. Always to be an example to Junior Public Safety Officers, working under his / her supervision.
3. Must be well informed of the Company Disciplinary Code.
4. Must have the ability to lead a team.
5. Responsible to transport own shift from home to work and back.
6. Responsible to post Public Safety Officers at various points in the Clifton CID area, during parades.
7. To see that Public Safety Officers are neat and tidy dressed and shaved, and sober before reporting for duty.
8. To observe and do inspection within the Clifton CID area during shift.
9. Report any irregularities to the Public Safety whatsapp group and Site Manager, and foresee that such incident is written into the Occurrence Book.
10. Supervision of manpower deployed in your area of control.
11. Be alert and pro-active at all times.
12. To see that the security workplace is kept neat and tidy at all times.
13. Effective report writing and statements.
14. Must assist in investigations, and provide necessary information.
15. Must be able to work on computer; EBI or other security system (CCTV and access control).
16. Must be conversant with emergency procedures and evacuation drills.
17. Must report all security equipment faults and alarms to Site Manager promptly.
18. Effective customer service.

Minimum requirements:

1. PSIRA Grade B.
2. Grade 12.
3. Driver's license (Code 8) with a minimum of 2 years driving experience.
4. Excellent Communication skills in English (Verbal & Written).
5. Report writing skills in English.
6. Previous experience in a supervisory role – advantageous.
7. Strong leadership – ability to manage a shift.
8. Ability to work independently and meet work requirements without supervision.
9. Experience working in a CID environment – advantageous.
10. Good health and good physical condition – fit to do physical work on beaches, bushes and green area.
11. Must be able to work in all types of weather conditions.
12. Attention to detail when on duty and pro-active communicator verbally and on Whatsapp groups.
13. Neat and presentable.
