The ideal candidate will have tax preparation and bookkeeping experience or relevant accounting experience, attention to detail, and excellent time management skills. As a Senior Tax Accountant, you will be responsible for:
Client Accounting Management:
Maintain monthly accounting for clients using QuickBooks Online (QBO).
Record transactions through the banking module within QBO.
Perform quarterly payroll for clients using Drake Accounting or QBO.
Monthly bank reconciliations.
Update and reconcile prepaids, fixed asset schedules, payroll, and accruals with appropriate journal entries.
Tax Preparation:
Prepare and file federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses.
Analyze financial information to ensure accurate reporting and compliance with tax laws.
Conduct account analysis and balance sheet reconciliation to support tax filings.
Provide clients with guidance on tax planning strategies to minimize liabilities.
Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and regulations that may impact clients.
Collaborate with clients to gather necessary documentation for tax preparation.
Assist in the preparation of financial statements as needed.
Utilize QuickBooks for accounting tasks related to client accounts.
Financial Reporting:
Prepare and deliver accurate, concise monthly financial statement packages to clients.
Identify and communicate information needs to ensure complete and accurate financial records.
Documentation and Organization:
Maintain electronic supporting documents.
Work on special projects as needed to meet client or organizational goals.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
2 years of experience as a Senior Certified Public Accountant.
2 years of experience in Tax preparation.
Experience in Payroll tax preparation.
In-depth industry knowledge regarding best practices, development, current regulations, and technology, particularly in US Taxation Law.
Deep background in a remote set-up of work similar to freelancing as an Independent Contractor.
Ability to track time accurately using the Company's time tracking system.
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Capable of exercising utmost discretion, diplomacy, and tact.
Fast, reliable, and stable internet connection (LAN or Fiber) with internet backup.
Technical Expertise:
Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.
Experience with Drake Tax or other professional tax preparation software.
Experience with Canopy or other cloud-based practice management software is a plus.
Analytical and Organizational Skills:
Strong attention to detail and high data-entry accuracy.
Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies independently.
Highly organized, with excellent time management skills.

Self-directed with the ability to work independently while managing multiple deadlines.
Benefits:
SALARY - $2000 PER MONTH
TYPE OF WORK - FULL TIME (REMOTE), Monday to Friday with at least 2 to 3 hours overlap daily with Denver, Colorado; the rest of hours can be distributed during the day as it suits the employee.
