Are you a resilient and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with challenging behaviour? Reeson Education is recruiting for an SEN Teaching Assistant to work in a primary school in Waltham Forest, supporting pupils with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs), ASD, and behavioural difficulties.

The Role:
- Position: SEN Teaching Assistant (Challenging Behaviour Focus).
- Location: Waltham Forest, East London.
- Start Date: Immediate.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils who require additional help managing their behaviour and emotions in the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work 1:1 or in small groups with pupils who display challenging behaviour.
- Implement de-escalation and positive reinforcement techniques to support pupils' emotional regulation.
- Assist in developing and delivering individual behaviour plans alongside teachers and the SENCO.
- Use strategies such as zones of regulation, sensory breaks, and structured routines to help pupils engage in learning.
- Build trusting relationships with pupils to encourage positive behaviour and participation.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant, Behaviour Mentor, or Learning Support Assistant.
- A calm, patient, and firm but fair approach to managing behaviour.
- Confidence in using behaviour strategies and intervention techniques.
- Ability to work as part of a team and follow individual behaviour support plans.
- A passion for supporting children with SEMH, ASD, and ADHD.
