Security Manager

We have an opportunity for a highly skilled Security Manager with extensive experience within the hospitality industry for a 5 star hotel in the Pretoria North area, to lead and manage all aspects regarding safety and security within the complex.

Requirements:

1. Matric
2. National Diploma / B Degree in Security Management / Policing.
3. PSIRA Grade A or B
4. Proven experience in security management, in a hospitality or similar environment
5. 3-4 years' experience in the field of security.
6. Knowledge of security Acts and Regulations
7. Excellent disciplinary, investigation, assessment, and interview skills.
8. Proficiency in report writing, fault finding, risk management, and MIB techniques.
9. Experience in providing high-level VIP protection services is highly desirable.
10. Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and best practices related to security.
11. Clear criminal record (Essential)

Responsibilities:

1. Lead and manage the security team to ensure the safety and security of guests, staff, and property.
2. Develop and implement comprehensive security policies and procedures to safeguard the complex.
3. Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify potential risks and vulnerabilities.
4. Investigate security incidents, breaches, or complaints thoroughly and effectively.
5. Conduct interviews with relevant parties to gather information and evidence.
6. Compile detailed and accurate reports on security incidents, investigations, and findings.
7. Utilize fault-finding skills to identify and address security system malfunctions or weaknesses.
8. Implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential threats and hazards.
9. Utilize MIB techniques to gather and analyze intelligence relevant to security operations.
10. Provide high-level VIP protection services as required, ensuring the safety and privacy of VIP guests.
11. Demonstrate the attributes of a law enforcement professional, including integrity, vigilance, and professionalism.
12. Execute all responsibilities with the utmost care, respect, and discretion, especially concerning hospitality staff and guests.
