Security Guard

Job Responsibilities:

1. Patrol assigned areas of the ship to ensure the safety and security of guests and crew members
2. Monitor surveillance cameras and report any suspicious activity
3. Respond to and investigate security incidents and emergencies
4. Enforce ship rules and regulations to maintain order and prevent unauthorized access to restricted areas
5. Conduct regular inspections of all safety equipment and report any issues to the appropriate personnel
6. Assist with the embarkation and disembarkation process, ensuring all guests and crew members are properly screened
7. Conduct luggage and baggage checks to prevent the introduction of prohibited items onboard
8. Collaborate with other departments, such as Guest Services and Housekeeping, to ensure a seamless and secure guest experience
9. Maintain accurate records of security incidents and submit detailed reports to the Security Supervisor
10. Attend regular training sessions to stay updated on security procedures and protocols

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a security role, preferably in a maritime or hospitality setting
3. Valid Security Guard license or certification
4. Knowledge of security protocols and procedures
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
6. Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions in emergency situations
7. Physically fit and able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
8. Fluent in English, both written and verbal
9. Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
