Job Summary
A bartender is responsible for preparing and mixing all types of drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, to the guests according to the prescribed service rules and standards. Prepare daily bar inventory and equipment. Handle cashiering tasks when assigned. Maintain & clean all operating equipment.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests according to service rules and standards with emphasis on accuracy and speed.
- Prepare and mix all types of drinks and cocktails based on standardized recipes.
- Ensure proper storage and safety of all stocks in the bar.
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, chillers, fridges, and all equipment.
- Perform tasks assigned by the Restaurant Manager/Supervisor to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Complete scheduled stock counts and manage breakage/spoilage/spillage reports.
- Prepare beverage and food requisitions for the bar.
- Maintain bar stock according to established par stock levels.
- Handle cashiering tasks when assigned.
- Maintain clean and sufficient operating equipment such as glassware and bar tools.
- Perform daily opening & closing duties to Isola standard.
- Conduct monthly inventory of operating equipment in the bar.
- Chill and cool beverage supplies at the appropriate serving temperature.
- Suggestively sell to boost sales of wines and spirits.
- Establish and maintain good relations with colleagues.
Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements
- Ability to communicate in English with guests, co-workers, and management.
- Minimum of 2 years in hospitality, preferably in a bartending role.
- Knowledgeable in various kinds of beverages and cocktails.
- Computer literate.
- Pleasant personality with good communication and interpersonal skills.
