We are looking for a Scrum Master to join our dynamic client team in Johannesburg (Hybrid).

Role Overview:

As a Scrum Master, you’ll lead and empower multiple squads in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment. With a strong foundation in Scrum methodologies and a focus on technical domains, you’ll manage up to three squads simultaneously using Scrum Nexus principles. Experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) will be essential in enabling your teams to deliver value efficiently and drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and reviews.
• Act as a servant leader for up to three squads (each ~12 members), ensuring team alignment and delivery of objectives.
• Manage and maintain all backlogs, sprint planning, and reporting activities using Azure DevOps (ADO).
• Identify and remove impediments to ensure smooth team operations and delivery.
• Promote and facilitate cross-team collaboration to optimise workflow and ensure delivery aligns with business objectives.
• Provide guidance and support to team members on Agile best practices and principles.
• Monitor team performance using Agile metrics and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to ensure alignment on priorities and goals.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PSM I, or equivalent Agile certification.
• Solid understanding of technical environments, particularly within SAP ecosystems.

Essential skills:

• Proficient in Scrum frameworks and Agile principles.
• Strong leadership and facilitation skills to manage multiple squads effectively.
• Expertise in Azure DevOps (ADO) for backlog management and sprint planning.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to handle technical discussions and align with SAP design goals.

Desired skills:

• Advanced knowledge of SAP technical design and implementation methodologies.
• Familiarity with scaled Agile frameworks like SAFe or LeSS.
• Experience in coaching teams to adopt Agile best practices and frameworks.
• Strong problem-solving skills to manage cross-team dependencies and impediments.
• Understanding of DevOps principles and their integration with Agile workflows.
• Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
• Experience with stakeholder management and change management processes.

Experience:

• Over 5 years of experience as a Scrum Master within technology-driven environments.
• Proven ability to lead and manage multiple Scrum teams concurrently.
• Extensive hands-on expertise with Azure DevOps (ADO) for managing Agile workflows and processes.
• Experience working with technical SAP programs or comparable systems.
