SCM Manager

Job Title: SCM Manager (Pretoria)

Our client in the Arts and Culture sector is looking for a Supply Chain Manager. The candidate will report to the Chief Financial Officer.

Key responsibilities:

1. Develop SCM policy to ensure compliance with the National Treasury Act, PFMA, and other practice notes.
2. Establish and implement processes and procedures for procuring goods and services to ensure that internal controls are in place and adhered to.
3. Avoid irregular, fruitless, and wasteful expenditure.
4. Manage the organisation’s Tendering and RFQ processes, ensuring that bid committees are established for compliance with PFMA and National Treasury Regulations.
5. Manage supplier contracts by ensuring long-term contracts are established for continuous supply and provision of service.
6. Negotiate long-term contracts to ensure good value and reliable services, while maintaining good relationships with suppliers.
7. Provide leadership to the SCM department staff to ensure proper planning and coordination of work.
8. Ensure segregation of duties among staff members.
9. Capacitate staff by providing training.

Preferred Minimum Education:

Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain, Finance, or Public Administration.

Minimum Experience Required:

8 Years’ experience, with at least 3 years in Management.
