The Mental Health, Alcohol, Substance Use & Tobacco Research requires a suitably qualified scientist. The candidate will generally contribute to the tobacco control research and research translation work in MASTRU. The candidate will further provide support to enable successful implementation of an ongoing project: Interpersonal violence among male inmates at correctional centers in Gauteng, South Africa: Prevalence and associated factors. Specifically, they will assist with project coordination, data management and analysis, staff management, and research dissemination (including co-publishing papers in academic journals) to ensure the successful implementation of both projects.

A salary in the region of R 39 386 per month, cost-to-company, will be negotiated in consideration of experience and qualifications.
