Our Client, a leading retailer, is seeking a skilled Procurement and Systems Optimization Specialist to join their dynamic team.

This role is essential in optimizing procurement processes and ensuring that business needs are met through the effective use of integrated systems, including SAP.

The position involves enhancing procurement, supply chain, and inventory management practices to meet operational goals.

The ideal candidate will drive continuous improvements, collaborate effectively with teams, and integrate solutions to streamline workflows across the organization.

Job Purpose

This role is responsible for optimizing procurement processes and ensuring that business needs are met through the effective use of integrated systems, including SAP.

The position involves enhancing the efficiency of procurement, supply chain, and inventory management practices to meet operational goals.

The ideal candidate will drive continuous improvements, collaborate effectively with teams, and integrate solutions to streamline workflows across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead and refine procurement processes, ensuring they align with business goals and operational objectives.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and improve procurement practices.
  3. Utilize SAP and other enterprise systems to streamline procurement, supply chain planning, and data management.
  4. Oversee the procurement cycle, ensuring data accuracy and operational efficiency through the use of systems like SAP.
  5. Act as a key advisor on procurement processes, guiding teams to implement best practices and maximize business outcomes.
  6. Monitor SAP system performance and recommend improvements to better align with business needs and data insights.
  7. Troubleshoot and resolve SAP-related issues, ensuring seamless operations.
  8. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate updates within SAP and other relevant systems.
  9. Analyze market trends and adjust procurement strategies to optimize business value and performance.
  10. Provide insights on system performance and feedback for continuous improvement, with a focus on SAP.
  11. Lead efforts to optimize the procurement lifecycle, improving efficiency and reducing time-to-market.
  12. Identify opportunities for cost savings, risk reduction, and stronger supplier relationships through improved system use.

Qualifications

  1. Degree in Business, IT, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a relevant field.
  2. At least 6 years of experience in procurement and supply chain management, with proven success in using SAP for process optimization.
  3. Experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing SAP-related projects.
  4. Strong ability to translate business strategies into effective procurement solutions within SAP.
  5. Experience in SAP system integrations or ERP rollouts, particularly within procurement or supply chain operations.

Skills and Knowledge

  1. Strong understanding of procurement, supply chain management, and inventory control within systems like SAP.
  2. In-depth experience in optimizing business systems, including SAP, to manage complex processes efficiently.
  3. Familiarity with industry regulations and compliance within procurement (preferred).
  4. Experience in retail or wholesale environments (preferred).
