SAP IDM Consultant (Identity Management)

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled SAP Identity Management (IDM) Specialist to join our IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, support, and maintenance of SAP IDM solutions, ensuring secure, streamlined, and efficient identity and access management across the SAP landscape. You will play a critical role in aligning identity management processes with business and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities and Duties

1. Design, implement, and maintain SAP IDM solutions, including user provisioning, role management, and access governance.
2. Collaborate with security, SAP functional, and infrastructure teams to develop and optimize IDM workflows.
3. Perform system administration tasks including upgrades, patches, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
4. Manage and automate user lifecycle processes (joiner, mover, leaver scenarios).
5. Integrate SAP IDM with various SAP and non-SAP systems (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, SAP GRC, Active Directory).
6. Monitor and maintain IDM performance, logs, and audits to ensure compliance with internal and external regulations.
7. Support audits and ensure access management complies with regulatory and corporate policies.
8. Deliver technical documentation, including solution architecture, configuration guides, and user manuals.
9. Provide Level 2/3 support for IDM-related incidents and service requests.

Desired Experience & Qualification

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
2. 4+ years of experience in SAP IDM implementation and support.
3. Strong knowledge of SAP IDM architecture, workflows, and integration capabilities.
4. Experience with SAP GRC, SAP NetWeaver, and related SAP security modules.
5. Proficient in Java, SQL, and XML for IDM customization and development.
6. Familiarity with LDAP, Active Directory, SAML, and Single Sign-On (SSO) concepts.
7. Strong understanding of user provisioning, de-provisioning, and identity lifecycle management.
8. Excellent problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
9. Strong communication and collaboration skills to work across diverse teams.

Preferred Qualifications

1. SAP IDM certification or equivalent is a plus.
2. Experience with SAP Cloud Identity Services or SAP BTP is advantageous.
3. Exposure to agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
4. Knowledge of compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, SOX, ISO 27001).
