Job description

Hire Resolve's client is looking for a Salesforce Technical Project Manager to join their team in Sandton, JHB. The candidate will act as a bridge between junior project managers, business analysts, consultants, developers and the Head of Delivery. This role is crucial for ensuring effective project execution, mentoring junior staff, and optimising delivery practices. The successful candidate will leverage their extensive Salesforce experience and project management expertise to drive project success, lead by example, and elevate our team’s capabilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Oversee the lifecycle of Salesforce implementation projects, ensuring alignment with scope, timeline, and budget. Utilise both agile and traditional project management methodologies.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting expertise in Salesforce projects, supporting integration, configuration, and deployment of Salesforce solutions.
  • Team Mentorship: Support and mentor junior project managers and business analysts, offering training and guidance to enhance their project management skills and technical knowledge.
  • Stakeholder Management: Serve as the main point of contact for project stakeholders, providing updates, managing expectations, and addressing concerns effectively.
  • Risk and Issue Management: Identify potential risks and issues early in the project lifecycle. Develop mitigation strategies and ensure prompt resolution to keep projects on track.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement within the project delivery process, proposing and implementing process enhancements based on data and best practices.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and present project status reports, KPIs, and performance analyses to senior management and clients.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in project management, with at least 3 years managing Salesforce implementation projects.
  • Certifications: Certified Salesforce Consultant, Certified Scrum Master (CSM), or similar agile certifications are preferred.
  • Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of Salesforce (Service Cloud, Admin, and Omni studio). Familiarity with Red Hat, SQL, PowerBI, and other integration technologies is advantageous.
  • Leadership Abilities: Proven track record in leading cross-functional teams, with strong mentoring skills to uplift junior team members.
  • Analytical Skills: Demonstrated experience in risk management, gap analysis, and process improvement in a project setting.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
