Job description

A reputable distributor of premium alcohol brands is currently seeking a Sales Representative. The client is specifically interested in an individual who exemplifies collaborative and leadership teamwork, maintains a professional approach, and draws inspiration from creativity. The Sales Representative will ensure the effective implementation of the company’s sales strategy in the Off Trade Channel in the Witbank and surrounding areas (Witbank, Bronchortspruit, Heisenberg, Burgersfort, Steelpoort, Dullstroom).

Duties & Responsibilities

Brand Availability and Sales Volumes:

  1. Strategically attain channel-specific availability targets.
  2. Ensure precise execution of brand availability across channels.
  3. Elevate brand equity as a primary catalyst for all initiatives and engagements.
  4. Innovate to amplify sales volume.
  5. Channelize brand prioritization to maximize volume.

Promotions and Brand Visibility:

  1. Execute promotions in alignment with brand equity standards.
  2. Channelize promotions for optimal brand-channel synergy.
  3. Implement the National Promotions Strategy meticulously.
  4. Monitor and optimize promotion ROI.
  5. Enhance brand visibility via imagery, displays, uniforms, menus, and merchandising.

Operational Excellence:

  1. Methodically administer and update call cycles.
  2. Achieve 100% adherence to the call cycle.
  3. Ensure accurate coding of all outlets.
  4. Fulfil all requirements during representative calls.
  5. Timely completion of administrative and reporting tasks.

Consumer Interaction:

  1. Responsibly engage with consumers across all touchpoints.
  2. Gather consumer data aligned with target demographics.
  3. Relay consumer insights and expectations effectively.
  4. Adhere to quantity and cycle discount parameters.
  5. Prompt completion and submission of PODs and credit notes.
  6. Maintain and upkeep company vehicles.
  7. Manage vehicle mileage within budgetary limits.
  8. Responsible handling of promotional stock.

Desired Experience & Qualification

  1. 3 Year Tertiary Education (Beneficial)
  2. 2-3 Years Relevant experience - NB experience within FMCG / Food & Beverage
  3. Product, service knowledge and understanding of category management
  4. Knowledge of marketing and accounting principles
  5. Ability to conceptualise and negotiate
  6. Customer orientation
  7. Sound interpersonal skills and creativity (big picture thinking)
  8. Team player and ability to work independently using initiative
