We are now looking for a Sales Representative South Africa, experienced and with technical background in water treatment for our urban segment in the region. In this role, you will support the development and sales of specific chemicals for water treatment mainly in the Urban segment and distributors. You will also need to identify new customers and support current ones with the most effective chemical applications used in water treatment. The position will be preferably located in South Africa.
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Working closely with the existing business and customers to meet or exceed sales and margin targets and developing profitable business within the African water industry.
- Actively work and develop local strategies to increase customer base and sales in the water urban segment.
- Introduction in customers of Kemira digital solutions.
- Testing of products on-site to optimize processes.
- Support in the preparation of short and mid-range sales plans to reach nominated targets and support the development of the demand forecast in the assigned area.
- Retain long-term customer relationships with established accounts projected to generate future sales and repeat business.
What you’ll bring to the team:
- Bachelor's degree level and/or equivalent in chemistry, chemical engineering, or metallurgy with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in the water industry.
- Valid passport and willingness to travel in South African countries (up to 50%) (Europe occasionally).
- Experience in the following areas preferred:
- Liquid/solid separation and filtration coagulant and polymer application.
- Sales experience in the water sector.
- Planning, running, and reporting on trial evaluations (plant and laboratory).
- Customer relationship management and reporting.
- Sales experience would be an additional benefit.
