Sales Assistant Position

Sales Assistant position available within a retail environment based in Krugersdorp.

The successful candidate will be involved with sales in the outdoor department.

As the Sales Assistant, you will serve as the point of contact between a business and its prospects or clients and have a range of responsibilities including identifying and educating prospective customers while supporting existing clients with information and assistance that relates to products and services.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Present, promote and sell products/services using solid arguments to existing and prospective customers.
2. Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships.
3. Reach out to customers through cases that have been assigned to the specific person.
4. Achieve agreed-upon sales targets and outcomes within the schedule.
5. Coordinate sales efforts with team members and other departments.
6. Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
7. Continuously improve through feedback.
8. Greet and assist customers as they shop for new products.
9. Suggest applicable and relevant upsells to help customers walk out the door with everything they need.
10. Meet weekly, monthly and quarterly sales quotas.
11. Learn how products work and how to troubleshoot issues with customers.
12. Possess in-depth product knowledge and be able to conduct demos and relay objection handling.
13. Organize, rotate, and stock shelves during each store visit.
14. Participate in sales meetings and on-site training.
15. Deliver presentations and demonstrate products to customers.
16. Check that merchandise has price tags or labels.
17. Assist customers with special orders.
