Sales Representative

A company specializing in metal pressing and spinning offers customers a comprehensive, one-stop service—from product design and tooling development to the final production of items in brass, copper, aluminum, mild steel, and stainless steel.

The company currently has a vacancy for a Sales Representative. While the company is headquartered in Cape Town, this role is based at the office in Midrand, Gauteng. Approx. 5 years industry-related sales experience required. Own reliable transport required for business travel.

You will be travelling to sell readymade and custom-made interior design products such as light fixtures, dustbins, ice buckets, etc. to interior design companies, architects, lodges, restaurants, hospitals, corporate offices, retail stores etc. Appropriate training will be provided.

Requirements:

• Based in Johannesburg
• 3-5 years previous work experience as a sales representative in the interior design, architectural, and/or hospitality industry.
• Grade 12
• Be willing to travel to all provinces in South Africa.
• Must have own car to utilize for business travel
• Knowledge and experience in working with interior designers, architects, lodges, restaurants
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Duties:

• Sales representative reports directly to the MD
• Sales representative needs to be able to operate largely independently
• Sales representative must be able to manage customers from quote to payment cycle.
• Develop sales plan and review weekly with MD.
• Achieve agreed sales target (Agreed with MD)
• Negotiate tender and contract terms and conditions to meet both client and company needs; in collaboration with the MD
• Prepare quotes, if required
• Give timeous and proper feedback to customers on delivery dates etc.
• Remain current in terms of all trends relevant to the industry.
