Job description

Sales Representative is responsible for establishing new business and maintaining existing.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Identifying promising prospects through cold-calling, networking, and customer referrals.
  2. Presenting company structure, profile, and services to customers.
  3. Developing new business opportunities and maximizing sales potential of existing customers.
  4. Ensuring all vehicles fill up to a minimum of 550 L / Eq per month.
  5. Achieving or exceeding targeted monthly sales goals for the targeted region.
  6. Promoting and developing new business sales with taxi owners, fleet operators, and taxi associations.
  7. Signing up customers at our filling stations and all other new sites as per the budgeted schedule as requested at different sites.
  8. Providing leads and setting up appointments with fleet operating companies and government fleets for the General Manager - Sales.
  9. Ethically and professionally representing the company’s products and programs to customers and prospects.
  10. Building and developing a client base.
  11. Maintaining and developing relationships with current customers.
  12. Attending monthly Taxi Association meetings.
  13. Ensuring optimal retention of existing customers.
  14. Ensuring taxis operate daily and meet the minimum agreed monthly volumes.
  15. Recovering kits and associated costs from clients in the case of client defaults on agreements.
  16. Communicating to taxi owners, fleet operators, and taxi associations regarding the company’s non-liability for any issues with the taxi, e.g., maintenance, services, and certification.
  17. Conducting brand activation weekly in various locations to promote the company.
  18. Promoting competitions and/or rebates running.
  19. Distributing pamphlets promoting the company.

Qualifications and Experience:

  1. Sales and Marketing Diploma with a minimum of 2 years taxi and fleet experience.
  2. Valid driver’s license.
  3. Own vehicle.
  4. Experience selling business to business.
  5. Experience in the transport fuel sales or related industry is preferred.
  6. A good understanding of business etiquette.
  7. Comfortable in a fast-paced, opportunity-filled work environment due to the rapidly changing fleet management industry.
  8. Must have a track record of business development.
  9. Must be comfortable communicating and building rapport with a diverse group of people.
