Sales Rep (Cleaning / Hygiene) job vacancy in Johannesburg.
Our client, a leading provider of hygiene, cleaning, and pest control solutions in South Africa is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Representative to drive the growth of their cleaning and hygiene services department.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to identify and convert new business opportunities. This role requires proactive engagement with potential and existing clients to expand our customer base and achieve sales targets.
Salary: R11 000 – R15 000 basic plus commission.
One year contract.
Minimum Requirements:
Valid driver’s license and own vehicle.
Matric.
4+ years of experience in field sales preferably in Cleaning, Hygiene, or Pest Control Services (advantageous).
Strong business acumen with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and non-verbal).
Solid numerical ability and computer literacy (MS Office proficiency).
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and develop new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, and tele-canvassing.
Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients, identifying cross-selling opportunities.
Conduct site surveys to assess client needs and recommend tailored solutions.
Prepare and present quotations, proposals, and sales presentations to potential and existing clients.
Attend tender meetings and contribute to bid submissions.
Perform risk assessments for each client proposal to ensure service feasibility and compliance.
Retain existing clients by addressing termination threats and negotiating renewals.
Ensure the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in line with company policies.
Adhere to company and client Health & Safety regulations.
Represent the company professionally, maintaining a corporate identity and positive brand image.
