POSITION INFO :
Are you a results-driven sales professional with a passion for the food industry? Our client, with a strong presence in both national and international markets, is seeking a dynamic Sales Manager to join their team.
Key Responsibilities :
Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to drive growth in national and international markets.
Create and manage the annual sales budget, setting targets for all regions.
Monitor and report on sales performance against budget, providing monthly updates to management.
Present strategic initiatives to improve client results and ensure high customer satisfaction.
Achieve and maintain overall margin targets set by management.
Monitor market trends, including competitor activities, and provide regular feedback to management.
Collaborate with purchasing, , and planning departments to optimize contract positions, availability, and pricing.
Manage pricing strategies based on product costs, supporting the sales team with customer-specific pricing.
Set annual KPIs for the sales team, tracking progress quarterly.
Expand the company's presence into Southern Africa by identifying new customers and introducing the company's portfolio.
Hire, train, motivate, and support the sales team, ensuring all customer and product data is up to date in Sage.
Adhere to high ethical standards and comply with all relevant regulations and laws.
Requirements :
A minimum of 4 years of experience as a Key Account Manager or Sales Manager in the food industry.
Highly goal-oriented, assertive, and a hands-on problem solver.
Strong analytical and strategic planning skills.
Excellent communication, delegation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to remain calm under pressure and work independently.
Willingness to travel within different regions.
Food technology or similar qualification preferred.
