POSITION INFO :

Are you a results-driven sales professional with a passion for the food industry? Our client, with a strong presence in both national and international markets, is seeking a dynamic Sales Manager to join their team.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to drive growth in national and international markets.
  • Create and manage the annual sales budget, setting targets for all regions.
  • Monitor and report on sales performance against budget, providing monthly updates to management.
  • Present strategic initiatives to improve client results and ensure high customer satisfaction.
  • Achieve and maintain overall margin targets set by management.
  • Monitor market trends, including competitor activities, and provide regular feedback to management.
  • Collaborate with purchasing, , and planning departments to optimize contract positions, availability, and pricing.
  • Manage pricing strategies based on product costs, supporting the sales team with customer-specific pricing.
  • Set annual KPIs for the sales team, tracking progress quarterly.
  • Expand the company's presence into Southern Africa by identifying new customers and introducing the company's portfolio.
  • Hire, train, motivate, and support the sales team, ensuring all customer and product data is up to date in Sage.
  • Adhere to high ethical standards and comply with all relevant regulations and laws.

Requirements :

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience as a Key Account Manager or Sales Manager in the food industry.
  • Highly goal-oriented, assertive, and a hands-on problem solver.
  • Strong analytical and strategic planning skills.
  • Excellent communication, delegation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and work independently.
  • Willingness to travel within different regions.
  • Food technology or similar qualification preferred.
